Day 10

Lit For A Purpose

Have you considered God may have lit your fire for a purpose? Or at the least allowed your fire to be lit. Luke, the physician instructs us, “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden.” When we received Christ into our heart, we were lit for a purpose. I can only add God will place you where He wills. Here are five things you can do, after you discover you were lit for a purpose:

  • Use the power of conviction. Decide to use the power of conviction about the things that get us disturbed. Things that you can absolutely not stand by and watch happen. There’s no one else doing anything about it; so you should.
  • Develop excellence. To develop excellence, aim high. Do your best in all things. Work as unto the Lord. Start habits of excellence.
  • Set yourself up for success. If you are just beginning, start small. Allow time for the passion curve. The more you fuel your fire, the brighter it will burn.
  • Stir Enthusiasm. Jump around. Get excited. Make some noise. The more excitement you express, the more contagious you become.
  • Utilize the slow burn method. Some things take time to manifest. You just have to wait it out. The one who waits for his/her time will be the victor.
