The second testimony I was inspired by to do this was from the Asian Pastor Prince. He said a few years ago, he taught on ‘We are the righteousness of God.’ He encouraged his congregation to start meditating, memorizing and saying out loud, ‘we are the righteousness of God’ according to scripture.
After they did it for a few weeks, he began to get testimonies of how immersing themselves in the Word of God began to change their lives. One young man in particular wrote in and said, “I’m not a part of your congregation; but I heard you teach on this once. I began doing what you instructed about praying, memorizing, meditating, speaking it out loud scripture related to ‘I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. I was hopelessly addicted to porn.
I tried everything to be free. I had given up. But I began to do this with the Word of God. Even while I was still addicted, I still was doing my exercises and saying out loud, ‘I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.’ One day the desire for porn begin to leave until it was gone. As I write, I’ve been free for a year…”
